SEO, or search engine optimization, is how you can increase your organic rankings in search engines. This youth development center wanted to adopt an SEO strategy instead of relying on paid ads to fill their summer sessions.
This youth development center has been working with families and kids in the Nashville, Franklin, and Brentwood areas for over 50 years. A staple in the area, the center has been helping children from elementary school to high school make friends and discover new activities.
The center approached Atiba looking to improve their search engine presence. In the past, they had relied on paid advertising in online and print formats but wanted to experiment with a new strategy.
First, we worked with them to set up their Google tools and provide basic training on each tool, how it could be used, and each tool’s benefits.
We also took over their Google My Business page to add photos, a proper description, updates, and more.
We made a number of technical and under-the-hood changes. We fixed a sitewide HTTP issue, fixed a number of link issues, sitemap issues, and more.
Lastly, we were able to dive into competitor and keyword research.
This center was in a unique position with their offerings and we noticed that their site wasn’t reflecting these offerings. After extensive research and comparisons, we made content changes across the site to better reflect what they offer and speak to their target audience.
At the end of our project timeline, we were able to push them onto the map-pack for a number of terms and improve upon others.
We doubled their number of queries in the Top 10 and were able to get 10 queries onto local map packs.
The center was also able to fill 99% of their spots for their summer program, helping them rebound from the summer of 2020 when the COVID pandemic had limited their summer options.
